Why a Good Breeder

There is a big difference between a well bred papillon and a back yard example. There is a reason for a price difference... and we will try to help you to see this. These first photos are not photos of our dogs, This is meant only to give you an idea that not all papillons are bred equal. Every dog is special and deserves to be loved and cared for, but, if your desire is to own a good representation of the breed, then finding a reputable breeder is a great place to start.

Just a quick note: A well bred puppy will have lots of coat, don't let someone tell you it will come in later. Because later will never come. they either have coat as a puppy and then get a beautiful adult coat, or don't have coat as a puppy and will never get it. This is not something that will come in later it is either there or its not.

    Notice the lack of coat, poor build, and generally just doesn't look like a papillon. you can't get a wonderful, beautiful papillon from this, nor will you get the correct coat of the papillon you see in magazines, TV, or at the dog shows.

        Now hopefully you can start to see why breeders strive to presevre the papillon to the standard as closely as we can. The papillon is an eleagant dog who's grace and beauty is something to protect.
